Okay, here's the situation... (how many of you just sung in your head, "My parents went away on a week's vacation"?)
I have been terrible with taking pictures lately. Yes, we HAVE done some fun things since Christmas, but I have very little visual documentation of these events. Okay, we had Zoe & Lucy's birthday in January, and I did take pictures of that. But other things I've just forgotten the camera altogether, like going to the zoo over spring break, sleepovers with cousins, playing "in" the pool (on the top step) when it was 95 degrees recently, etc. So, that's why my kid-posts have been slow in coming... from this moment on, I vow to take more pictures of my kids! When there's no newborn in the house, and if it's not a birthday, I just don't think of it. It WAS one of my new year's resolutions though; to stop & take the time to get out the camera and capture those random cute moments. Here's all of us sleeping during our Christmas card photo shoot. Zoe was still making a funny face from our previous shot. That's a great idea, by the way; the kids lastest much longer for that photo shoot since we had them do some silly poses between the serious ones!

Very cute! And fun idea!
This is a nice idea for a photo shoot!
If you just always have your camera with you... in your purse or out on the counter... you are reminded to take pictures more often. I always have my camera with me, and it has come in handy since having a blog... I actually use some of the bazillions of pictures I take.
Hee--this is darling! I wish more people would send these "outtakes" in their actual Christmas cards--it gives a way better feel for the family's personality and sense of humor.
Some of my family's most cherished pictures are of one Easter dinner where my mom made us pose for photos and then things got crazy and we took a ton of pictures with food in our mouths. They aren't necessarily the most flattering pics we ever took, but they provoke more memories than the really posed ones.
the mere fact you have four children is grounds to never take a picture again. but i hope you do anyway because that family is adorable. and no worries -- you can change your ways. me and the hubby didn't take ONE picture the first two years of our marriage, but as my blog attests -- we've made up for it since Miss Dub debuted.
How cute .... it almost seems like your dad is about to waslk in the door!
