Molly & ZoeToday Noah had a half-day of school, so for a special treat the kids got to choose either Wendy's or Taco Bell for lunch (we had 3 for Wendy's and 2 for Taco Bell, so we got both-- I got to vote too). Afterwards they had ice cream for dessert, a real rarity around here that is usually only eaten at birthday parties or other extremely special occasions. I don't know who came up with the name, but growing up we would occasionally do a "fast food fun run" which meant everyone got to choose which fast food they wanted, and Mom would tolerate waiting through multiple drive-through lines. So, since I have a lot of housecleaning to do this afternoon, and will be leaving the kids to their own devices instead of doing something fun like going to the park, I decided to give them a "fun" lunch to make up for it, and to commemorate Noah's half-day. For some reason his school does that one day every month, and it's always fun to have him home early with us girls.

I'm pretty sure that Lee & Lori, OR maybe some other baby-sitters when Mom & Dad were out of town, are the ones who did the Fast Food Fun Run. At least, that's my memory. I don't remember it being Mom. Maybe I'm totally wrong and giving the credit for the "fun" to the wrong source. Anyway, it was a nice treat! We do that occasionally in our family too. Last time Q & I wanted In'n'Out, and Tyson and Sam wanted Chick-Fil-A and Wendy's frosties. Makes for a fun time!
I think it started with the babysitters, but Mom did it too. I don't really remember any of the babysitters or trips Mom and Dad went on, but I do remember Fast Food Fun Run, which my family does on occaion also. Good times.
By the way, Sara, those pics of your kids sure show how N/L look more alike and Z/M look alike. We all knew it, but it is SO obvious when they are side by side like that.
So I just realized that there are two references to eating Taco Bell in less than a week! Yikes! We don't normally have fast food so much... but since I decided to stop dieting, I've really been craving those Double Decker Taco Supremes!
I meant to also add... WAY TO GO on taking some pictures today, even if it's just eating frosties. And I second what Jamie said about the kids looking alike (the two pair).
I would love to take credit for the "fast food fun run" but it was Lori and Lee. Also, I totally agree about the pictures of your 4 kids being taken in pairs with who look alike! Cuties!!
