Amazingly, these tiny images are the best pictures I can find online of Ballet Etude's Nutcracker, which we saw on Saturday.
Yay for the Nutcracker! It was so fun to get dressed up and go with all the girls in the family (my mom, grandma, sisters, daughters, and nieces) to see the Nutcracker at the Mesa Arts Center on Saturday afternoon. Predictably, now all the girls want to be ballerinas. The costumes and the dancing were great! My mom even had the great idea to buy each family a Nutcracker book to read ahead of time so that our girls would know what was going on when they watched the ballet. Good thinking, Mom! The girls and I loved it.
Also, something that happened at my house on Saturday morning...
A crew of two men from the LDS video production company came to our house to shoot some video of our family to add to their huge database of video clips for use in Mormon Messages, and lds.org videos such as on the Provident Living site, the Family Finances page, or the Building a Strong Family page.
So, if you ever happen to be watching a Church video in the future and see any of the following clips: Lucy and Noah sweeping the front walkway with Aaron supervising, Zoe and Molly and me reorganizing bikes in the garage, all six of us reading scriptures on the couch, or a close-up of Aaron & I "discussing finances," please let me know so I can check it out. Thanks!

I can't wait until Natalie is old enough to take to dance performances!
How did you get selected for the Mormon Messages?
Ya, how did you guys get picked? That is awesome. I will have to keep my eyes on the look out!
Sign-up sheets went around our ward one Sunday about a month ago. They were going to be here in town for about a week filming Gilbert families from two or three stakes. So I signed us up, got a phone call a couple weeks later, answered a bunch of questions, and then got another phonecall a few days later to schedule us!
Wow, that's kind of cool you got filmed. I can't wait for the day when I actually see you on something!
Opportunity! I would feel so fakey fakey doing it though. Yes, we read scriptures but have to keep someone awake or stop a fight. Yes, we do chores but there is usually a threat in there somewhere! We are going to the Nutcracker Friday night - the Ballet Arizona production. We got tickets thru the girl's dance studio. We saw Ballet Etudes a few years back at Chandler Center for the Arts. We are so excited to go!
