Boys' Colorado Trip

At the same time the girls and I were heading west to the coast, the boys were heading northeast to the mountains. Aaron, Noah, and Tom (Aaron's dad, who met them in CO from Utah) camped in the same general area of southwestern Colorado that Aaron & Noah went to last year. This time they also brought Juno, who reportedly had a great time. What a place to live!

Tom looking out at the gorgeous view.

Breathtaking!

This mountain pass had only opened a day or two before their trip, due to such heavy snowpack from the winter.

Holy cow, that's a lot of snow... especially in late June!

I can see why they'd barely opened this pass...

Oh yeah, my car turned 100,000 miles on this trip. Getting up there...

Just stunning!

They came home a day early because Noah was experience some strange fatigue that Aaron later figured must've been altitude sickness. Unfortunately Noah slept through the entire last day as they were driving around seeing many pretty sights. But, they still have a fun time and we'll try to continue this split-trip tradition in the future!
