Flower Central

Between the two dozen lovely tulips that Hubs bought me for Mother's Day, the 100 or so individual roses that he's in charge of getting for all the ladies at church tomorrow, and my cutting out several hundred foam flower pieces for our Primary sharing time activity tomorrow, it's indeed flower central around here! But it's so pretty and festive. The girls have had so much fun putting together different color combination of the craft foam flowers, as well as making other things with them: fancier flowers, butterflies, ocean waves, and Eve from Wall-E. All this plus a nice long swim earlier; it's been a great day.

Happy Mother's Day to all you hard-working Moms out there!

I'm going to spend this evening punching out flowers for our primary kids to make leis. Great minds think alike.

Those flowers are so cute Sara. It almost makes me sad that I won't be there tomorrow to receive one. Almost!!!

My kids thought those flowers were awesome!!! Andrew's was all green, AnnaLisa's was pink based. It was real cute and I thought it was a great idea!

Evidentally MaggieMae liked them too. She grabbed Andrew's and ripped it in half before I even put down what was in my hands after church.

Did you cut out all of those flower pieces? I sure hope not! They are very cute.
I love flowers. Fresh, paper, foam... I'll take any.

Oh yes, I did cut them all out. By the hundreds. I tried a couple of different paper punches I already had but none were quite what I wanted, so a-tracing and a-cutting I went. It turned out great though, and we have a bunch extra that my girls have loved playing with!

I have been meaning to tell you how CUTE these turned out. Even though my ward had the kids' pictures, the different colored petals really makes a big difference. Great idea!

Sounds like fun to me! Especially the swimming part!
