On "odd years" we don't have friend-parties, but keep it low-key and hang out as a family on the kids' birthdays. We had a small celebration for Noah at home on Tuesday, and then we went to my parents' house in Phoenix to hang out with all the AZ cousins on Wednesday.
Noah's biggest smile came when opening this, the present he wanted most: Super Mario Galaxy (Wii). We opened presents quickly before going to Pack Meeting Tuesday night, where he got his Wolf Badge and some arrow points (and ate cupcakes).

In lieu of a cake I made these neato-kaspeato swirly cupcakes.
After two and a half hours of swimming on Wednesday we made the kids get out of the pool for cupcakes & homemade ice cream. The discerning reader will be able to point out all of mine and my sisters' kids... only baby Crew is missing from this picture. 11 grandkids, ages 0-9, sure have a lot of fun together! Would anyone not blood-related like to guess all the kids' names in this picture?
And just for fun, here's Noah's hair after 5+ hours at the beach one day last week (in San Diego). I didn't take this picture until AFTER I'd gotten most of the sand out.

I am not going to give away my other daughter's name this early on in the game. But I am wondering if people can not only name the kids, but tell us their names IN ORDER in this pic. Hmmmm. Now you're really thinking!

I am always amazed at how much all of the Butler grandchildren look just like their parents. It's like going back in time for me...You have a great family!!!
