Hungry Tchaikovsky

The other day a friend of mine brought over these small plastic busts of famous composers for me to possibly use during piano lessons. I had them lined up on the kitchen counter all day, and at one point Lucy stopped to study them. After a few minutes she said, "This one looks bored, this one looks mad, this one looks like he's watching a show, this one looks sad, and this one looks hungry."

I thought it was so funny, I had her repeat it so I could write down her descriptions. When I wrote "watching TV" for Chopin, she corrected me, "No Mom, it looks like he's watching A SHOW."

So there you have it.
I hope you've had a lovely weekend.

I remember getting these from Mrs. Harvey as awards for the most practicing, improved, etc.--um, which means I only have one :)

I'm excited to hear how you use them in your teaching.

We got these from my piano teacher, too! We also got performance "ribbons" that were so big they belonged around a horse's neck, and I only recently got rid of my box full of them a few years ago when my parents forced all the kids to clean our junk out of their house.
