A cake that I didn't make

We had our cub scout Blue & Gold banquet on Tuesday, and all the boys were supposed to bring a cake made with their dad's help... and NOT their mom's. The theme was "games" and Noah wanted to do Lego Star Wars (which is a Wii game). Their cake turned out GREAT! I make sure we had cake mixes & frosting in the house, and other than I was not the least bit involved. I only gave Aaron a pointer or two about getting the cakes out of the pan without breaking, and then I stayed out of the room while they did all the decorating.

I had some fondant leftover from Crew's cake (fondant keeps for a long time) so they used that to cut out the Lego Star Wars logo, and decorated with some of Noah's lego droids & etc.

Look at those two handsome dudes. Great job guys!

That must be so hard for you to just let them do a cake by themselves! I am having a hard time letting Brandon & Kevin do his pinewood derby car by themselves (not like I'm an expert or anything!). And Kevin just cringes when he hears what Brandon wants to do with it! :)
