Today around here

Lucy stayed home from school today; she felt okay this morning but she's had an on-again-off-again fever lately, and since today was a half day I decided to let her stay home to rest. She laid down and watched a movie upstairs while a couple of friends and I did the 90-minute P90X Yoga DVD, and then after they left Lucy played a little Wii before the other kids came home. Juno was cozied up to her the whole time and I thought it was pretty cute; of course as soon as she heard the camera she moved so these shots are a little staged.

It is true what they say about puppies staying puppies until they're 2. Juno turned 2 in December and she really has been much better behaved the past couple of months; not destroying things, etc. She has been just delightful these days. (We do not encourage face-licking though; yuck.)
The kids LOVE the days I have friends over to do workout videos, because that means the couches are pushed back and there's so much more fun carpeted space to play in (because I leave it moved out the rest of the day for them). As soon as they got home today they decided to cover the (freshly-vacuumed) floor with a patchwork of blankets; perfect for an afternoon of wrestling and/or movie-watching.

We love half days!
