This year the kids each got to pick out their favorite pumpkin (they were all about the same) and then they got to choose a design. I think this is the first year we've done four of them. We have yet to use the fancy printable "stencils" that are available (I guess we're just old-fashioned that way), but this year Aaron
found several different ideas online, each of our kids chose their favorite one, and Aaron & I did the drawing and carving. Noah and Molly went for the more traditional faces while Lucy choose the ghost, and Zoe picked that funny monster guy.
What a strange tradition! But it's definitely a fun one, isn't it?

Love traditions. I am going to do that one when my kiddo gets older. Cute Pumpkins!
love them. we're planning on doing it tomorrow.
Eric and I both do NOT like carving pumpkins. We boycotted the whole thing last year. But yours are SO CUTE! I love the ghost! It is making me want to do it. Thanks for some inspiration.
I kind of hate the part when you have to clean them out... but the actual carving part is fun. I even roasted some pumpkin seeds this year and all the kids liked them.
