Recent things I've learned:
Curry is not usually a singular spice, but a spice blend. I learned this from my brother, and yes my sisters have heard me repeat this new fact several times. This is the last time I promise girls :)
Children's laxatives work wonders.
You shouldn't wear your favorite t-shirts when cleaning your bathroom. Three of my faves have been showing up with mysterious bleachy-looking marks on them lately, and since I only rarely use bleach in the laundry, I can only conclude that it's from leaning over the tub & scrubbing it. I have had similar problems with bleachy-spots on pants. And I'm just now figuring this out.
Buttermilk is the leftover liquid from when cream has been churned into butter.
Alaska and Hawaii became states only 7 1/2 months apart, in 1959. There was, briefly, a flag with 49 stars on it, although I don't think many of them were made.
Just thought you might like to know.

Interesting things that you've learned. I totally don't get that t-shirt bleach phenomenon! It happens to me all the time and I am really careful! I swear someone sneaks a bleach-covered rag into my loads occasionally!
And I am happy to say that this household hasn't had to worry about the laxatives, but thanks for the tip!
SO random. Love it. I had no idea their were children's laxatives out there. The bleach phenomenon is an epidemic and needs to be stopped before it has ruined ALL of our cute shirts!!!

It's so funny you mentioned this because mysterious bleach spots appearing on clothing is one of my worst-hated things. Since I use a communal laundry room, I was always certain other people were leaving powdered bleach product residue behind to ruin my wardrobe, but now I'm wondering why they only show up on my "cleaning" clothes (alternatively known as "workout" clothes or "pajamas").
We forgot to get our Scout-O-Rama tickets last night. Did Noah bring them? Hopefully we'll see you sometime this week.
