No TV Update... Update

I never told you all how our experiment of no tv-watching for a whole week went! It was about 3 weeks ago that we did it. We made it -- Monday through Saturday of no TV. Okay, I actually watched TV some evenings after the kids were in bed, but the point of the experiment was for the kids to abstain. It went great! My only complaint was that some evenings when I was trying to fix dinner, there would be myriad children pawing at me, frustrating my efforts, because they had run out things to do for the day. There were a few moments when I would've put a quick movie on for them, were it not for my conscientious 6-yr-old who would've never let me get away with it. But, the kids generally did a terrific job all week and here are some photos of what they spent some time doing. There was a lot of bike-riding, which I didn't snap any shots of. And a LOT of piano-playing, which although was noisy, made me very happy.
The kids figured out how to play the Disney's Little Einstein's theme song!
We also had some of this:
A little of this:
Molly unloading the dishwasher.
And a good dose of this:
All in all it was a great week. I wouldn't say that we're too dependent or addicted to the TV normally, but it was a good experiment that showed us that we really have no trouble getting along without it. Hooray!

Great job! I really don't think we would have made it.

I hope Aaron sees this post. You know how he is all into the kids pitching in and cleaning up. Here is great proof of that!
