Something fun about Twins

There are actually a LOT of fun things about twins. But here's one of them; one doesn't mind sharing their "personal space" with the other. The space-sharing concept began in the crowded womb and they've been close ever since (proximity and otherwise). A couple nights ago, Zoe had gone to bed a little earlier than Lucy and was already asleep before Lucy got there. Instead of choosing her own bed, I thought it was sweet that Lucy decided to crawl into Zoe's:

Although this hasn't happened recently, the idea is not new... these two shared a bed from the beginning. Here they are sharing their cradle at 10 days old: (what's up with the hats & tons of blankets? I mean, it was January and all, but this is Arizona!)

Here they are in a pack-n-play at 4 1/2 months:

And in their crib at 8 months: (that white thing is a "crib divider" I'd ordered from a twins website)

The last bed-sharing pic I can find is around their first birthday, sharing a pack-n-play; this must have been napping at someone else's house; they didn't usually share such a small space under normal conditions... but they never minded it as long as they could fit! This was probably near the end of their bed-sharing days; we borrowed a second crib, and now they're in twin beds, sharing a bedroom.

Come on, who doesn't like to take pictures of their sleeping kids?

Love love LOVE this post! Cute idea and wonderful pictures! I like how Zoe was actually asleep on TOP of that crib divider thing. This makes having twins look so fun and easy...they just sleep all the time, right?

So cute! I love the progression. How fun to see them when they were such tiny little things.

as you know, am i afraid of having multiples.

but these pics almost swayed me. i mean, not only two babies to love at once, but two babies who love each other.

but nursing two tiny mouths is still way too scary for me.

Cute girls. You got lucky your girls shared a crib together for so long. My sister had to seperate her twins at 5 months because one slept better than the other and he would wake the other up. I loved to see your girls when they were babies. Love it!

Sara, now that we're friends :)...
I am a twin and loved reading your post on your girls. Taryn and I used to crawl in each others' cribs or hold hands through the bars. She is still my best friend to this day!

I would give my right arm to have twins of my own.
