A little something for your listening pleasure. I wish I had known the Smiths when they were a group. Pre-solo Morrissey. Not that there's anything wrong with solo Morrissey. I remember in like 7th grade, Tommy Bernard (a kid I grew up with) frequently wore a Smiths shirt and I had no idea who they were, but I knew they must be cool. Because Tommy Bernard was, in a quiet understated way. I feel like I would've been a much cooler kid if I'd grown up knowing who the Smiths were.
I would be curious to know, from the at least 3 people I know who have seen Morrissey in recent years and who might possibly read this, if he still performs this song? What a classic. Circa 1984.

Tommy Bernard?? I hadn't heard that name for YEARS. He was quite cute and apparently way more hip than me.
Heh. I couldn't remember who Tommy Bernard was, until I realized it was probably that one kid who always wore the Smiths shirt. He must have had a cool older sibling to already know about the Smiths.
