This just in! Over the weekend I caught a couple more Zoeisms: she calls her forehead her "fourth head" and she refers to the kitchen timer as the "cookie maker." She keeps us in stitches!Zoe's been saying the funniest things lately; I have to start writing them down. Usually the humor of her remarks is due to her underwhelming command of time-related adverbs: "I had SO many splinters in my knee tomorrow" (reference to an event that occurred in May) or conjunctions such as because: "We had such a good time on the houseboat with Grandma and Grandpa because purple is a really pretty color." (The houseboat isn't purple. Purple had nothing to do with our houseboat conversation. In fact no other colors or favorite things were mentioned.)
I fear that it won't be long before she & Lucy have a greater command of the English language and these funny sayings aren't heard anymore... but in the meantime, I'm determined to do a better job of writing them down.

I'm pretty sure that cheese crisp lives for guacamole. Oh, no. Wiat. That is what I live for.
Yeah, that's nice spelling. I meant WAIT.
Dang, I'm afraid you're right. But Z definitely prefers her salsa.
Keep writing them down, otherwise you'll only have one phrase to repeat "I want my bobby, I said-uh!"
I'm not a HAM. I'm NOT a ham! I'm not no crazy ham - what's a ham?
I'm kind of wondering why the "ham" contributor stayed anonymous. :)
And you know in our family it is all about "specialty cookness with Cheyenne pepper." Thanks, Cole.
It's so true... when I was there a few days ago she was saying something and then connecting it to a remark about something totally unrelated. I wish we could get how her mind works. I've never heard so many random things come out of such a tiny person. It's SO cute and SO funny.
