Here's what we've been up to lately...
As soon as strawberries went on sale I made some jam:
And this weekend we took a quick trip up to Page/Lake Powell.
Page is lovely this time of year:
After lunch on the boat we took a little hike (no, I have no idea why Noah has a lifejacket on!)
Here we are at the Glen Canyon Dam visitors center; that's Glen Canyon Bridge in the background, and the Colorado river. Lake Powell starts just further to the bottom-left of the picture; the dam didn't make it in this shot. But, I wanted to point out that I'm wearing my glasses and some SMALL silver hoops.

What a fun getaway! I've got to start strawberry jam too--did you make freezer or cooked?
Miss Jakie P!
since i'm really lame, i'd love it if you posted your recipe/technique for making that jam.
my friend made us some, and since it was so addictive, we dubbed it "crack jam."
it'd be a great blog post, that recipe! :)
I'm sad we didn't come, I bet it was fun! Thanks for sending up the clothes!
Great pictures and recap. I've never thought of Page (specifically) as lovely, so I'll have to take your word for it. I mean, the surrounding area, yes.
I'm really wanting a little weekend vacation. Everyone seems to be doing it lately.
I make freezer jam - a bunch of batches every year and that's all we eat, year-round! I can't remember the last time I bought store-bought; it's been at least 5 years. I'll post the recipe soon!
And no, Page is really not lovely in the least. The caption was inspired by the picture of the kids collecting wildflowers, but the town of Page is just as ugly as ever. But the weather was lovely.
No pic of what you brought home?? Maybe that's a future post. I'm glad you guys had a good trip!
OH Jam... sweet sweet strawberry jam. I just love that stuff! Looks like a fun trip. Glad you guys are all back safe and sound
