I did, it was amazing! I can't believe how many different ethnic groups there are just in China...something like 36?! Javier said, but I could have sworn I heard a bigger number than that! I was mostly impressed with the blocks part...that was incredibly well choreographed and timed! That's an aweosme claim to fame on your grandpa...very nice! I am looking forward to Monday when the gymnastics start...WooHoo!
It was 56, Ash. I thought that was incredible, but then again... China is huge. And I LOVED those blocks too. That plasma screen is absolutely incredible. I don't even get it. Isn't that the most amazong facility ever? And I didn't forget Grandpa... I just didn't think to include that in my Olympics post. But you KNOW I'm going to be copying this post now. ;)
I had never tried to Google Grandpa before last night and it's pretty cool to be able to find his name all over the place. I looked long and hard for a picture online of the '48 Cal crew but no luck. There are a LOT of pictures we need to get from Grandma's house and scan!!
I missed a lot of the coolest parts of the opening ceremonies since we went out to dinner; did anyone tape it or do you know if they're going to rebroadcast it??
What an amazong claim to fame! (I think is has a Beijing twist to it too, Kate).
We watched most of the opening ceremonies (I forgot to start recording right on time). All the people dancing and running around were amazing, but reminded me a bit of ants. So last night I dreamed I was attacked by swarms of ants. (Do you call that a swarm, a hive, a colony, what?)
Wow, that's pretty neat that your Grandpa was in the Olympics. We watched the Opening Ceremonies last night- and they were amazing! We recorded them (on the DVR).

Thanks for that post about your grandpa! We need to get a picture of the crew for you to post too!
We watched the entire Opening Ceremonies! Pretty amazing!

What a great thing to be able to clam. Loved the opening party, it was amazing, I didn't want it to end.

We still have the entire opening ceremonies saved on Tivo. Want to come over tomorrow and watch it?
This pretty much shows that our family totally ROCKS!
