New Trick

Since Noah was left out of the last "kid post," I thought I'd show you his new trick:

Sometimes he goes even faster than that. It only works in one-piece pj's, and apparently it doesn't hurt at all!

In other Noah news, a couple days ago he told me the following:

"Did you know there's this city called Pompeii that got buried by ash because this big volcano called Mount Vesuvius erupted? Nobody knew it was going to erupt but it did on August 24, AD 79, and it buried the whole city. The next day it was raining pumice. Pumice is a kind of rock that is very light because it has lots of holes, like a sponge. There was also another city called Herculaneum that also got buried. Pompeii was discovered in 1595 when some people were digging."

That's nearly verbatim. He read about this in his free time; didn't learn about it in school. Funny kid.

I finally had the time to look at your past blog history. I can't tell you happy getting to know your darling family was. It just made me smile. You are a wonderful mother and I am so glad that you have popped back into my life. All my best to your cute family and all the extended ones too!

Oh the things they remember. Love the slide, but won't be showing it to the boys, to much trouble to happen.

He freaks me out...WAY too smart for his age. He's going to be one of those kids that like goes to college at age 16!

That really doesn't hurt? Nice to see what Amanda is teaching them. :)

They also slide down on the crib mattress like a sled. That's much faster and more thrilling... but when you pick up the mattress to haul it back upstairs, it gives you a major shock (static electricity) so the kids are reluctant to do it! I don't have that on video. I don't know if Amanda taught them this or not; they've been doing it for a few weeks!

Wow! I am impressed. Sure remembering everything about Pompeii is cool, but did you see that kid fly down the stairs!?! Noah is too cute!
