Last Wednesday night my sister Jamie and I went to the Suns game with our parents. They have these awesome season tickets and they are kind enough to let us kids take turns going to the games sometimes, which is SO much fun! I never bring my camera to the games but I did last week, and it was a great night to have it with me.
At every game, during one of the time-outs they pan the cameras around the crowd, looking for gorgeous smiles to put up on the big screen/scoreboard, you know what I'm talking about? The Delta Dental SmileCam on the Jumbotron! Jamie, dutifully trying to get the across-the-court camera's attention the whole time, was successful and she even gave me enough notice to have my camera poised to capture the moment forever on film! So I'm looking up at the screen and snapping the picture. Isn't Jamie pretty? I look a little washed-out myself; which is surprising considering the fact that I had on about level 3 make-up at the time. Seating capacity for basketball games is between 18,000-19,000, so I think this event pretty much makes us famous.

The BIG news around Phoenix is that we just traded Shawn Marion and Marcus Banks for someone else...
Here's a hint: He took me from a boy to a man so Phil is my father - cause my biological didn't bother... that song, a beauty from 1994, has been in my head ever since that game...Here are a couple more hints:
_______-Diesel
_______-Fu
_______-Attack
_______ille O'Neal
Superman
Give up? Just kiddin'. I know y'all know. (Did you know he actually released three full-length albums in the 90's?) So the day of that game was the first day Shaq was in town, and he watched the game from up high in the stands, not quite "officially" a Suns player yet. But they did announce him between the 1st & 2nd quarters and he got a huge standing ovation. It will be fun to see him play!

At the end, the Suns didn't win (just barely!), but it was a really fun and exciting game to be at. And, I already emailed these pictures to my family (hence the on-pic labels), so, sorry for the repetition guys :)

You are both famous and beautiful!! What fun. And does the Dental Cam want Jamie to do commercials on a regular basis? She does have great teeth.
I love Shaq, I have this huge urge to give the man a hug. Weird huh. You both look great, love the smile.
So exciting! Jamie was on the big screen with Paige & me too. Now she's doubly famous. So cool that you had your camera handy.
Hey Sara, I ran into your blog a couple of days ago. I hope you don't mind that I read it. How fun to be on the jumbotron.
Thanks for all the props! Since you had the camera, it was my JOB to get the attention of every player and camera man that night...and that's why I was so hoarse the next morning.
Kate, I think it was Sara on the screen with you and Paige. So Sara is the one who is doubly famous!
And yes, Dr. Lawless, our orthodontist, should be very proud. We all have great smiles! Thanks, Laurie.
YEAH!!!!!!!
Yep, it was me on there with Paige last month. Didn't have the camera to prove it that time!
And Tara, yes of course you're welcome to read my blog - I'll be reading yours too now that I know about it! :)
Oh yes... Jamie heard about it at her reunion. My bad. So, Sara... you are totally famous.
Hey, sorry I haven't commented in forever. I've been way too bummed about the loss. Anyway, that is so awesome that you actually got a picture of your little famous moment, good for you!!
Who was the lady with bazongas behind you on the "jumbo-tron"? I have heard of knees in the back during a game, but that must have been really awkward. If that was someone you were with, oops. :-)
wow, can you tell that it was really late when I saw your post...
Dan
Dan, I said the same thing but was told that I was perverted or something like that.... seriously though!
