This is why I don't live there. I lived in Provo for several years and only had a couple of weather-related scares: among the worst I can think of was one time driving Leigh's VW Bug (the old kind) and spinning 180 degrees on an icy road to end up facing the wrong way against traffic. Nobody was hurt. But even though I was a bit shaken up over that, I didn't ALMOST DIE like Jake did last Wednesday!
(I'm a bit dramatic, yes. But it's a good story! Read it!)
And Happy Presidents Day!

Jake's story is so crazy! I wish that his story would say, "And I am super tough. I love the snow. I don't have a problem with cold weather." The story seems even better if you actually know Jake and realize that he seems to be pretty outdoors-ie. I mean, come on. The guy dug his own snow cave in his backyard and slept in it a few weeks ago. That makes his most recent ordeal even more unreal to me!
I'm alright. The worst part was losing my wedding ring.
I heard it was bad down there. It was a blizzard up in Salt Lake that day, but nothing like it was down there. It took one of my friends 6 hours to get home to Saratoga Springs. He had to leave his car on the side of the road too and ran home the last 2 miles (apparently he had snow gear and it couldn't have been quite as bad as what Jake was in.) Still, pretty crazy!
That was a crazy story, glad to hear he is okay, sucks about the ring, but at least it wasn't a finger with the ring from frost bite. The drifts were amazing.
Great story! I tried to leave a comment on Jakie P's, but I'm not sure it worked.
Anyway, glad to hear Josh came to the rescue and Jake kept all his toes.
