My name is Sara and...

I'm a Chocoholic.

Seriously.

It's ridiculous.

I am learning that there are things I can resist eating and things I just can't.

Usually I have no problem resisting the following:

  • Store-bought cookies
  • Other store-bought baked goods (like Twinkies)
  • Fruity candy
  • An unopened 72-oz bag of chocolate chips

But there are things that, if present in my home, I will certainly eat:

  • Freshly baked cookies
  • Freshly baked brownies
  • Freshly baked magic cookie bars
  • Freshly baked quick bread (banana, pumpkin, etc)
  • Freshly baked rolls
  • An opened 72-oz bag of chocolate chips (handfuls at a time, here and there, when any of the above items are not available for immediate consumption.)

And so, while I have lost about 7 pounds since my latest diet announcement (March-ish?) and have just this week started exercising again (4 times on the treadmill since Monday - triggered by seeing myself in a swimsuit when we christened the pool for 2008 last Saturday), my recent stint of chocolate weakness has made me gain back a couple of pounds and I'm realizing that the dream of looking decent all summer will pass me by if I don't conquer my addiction soon. So I'm going to have to work on that. Once this current 9x13 of brownies is gone, of course.

(Do the last few posts make you think I'm obsessed with food? I just might be.)

oh sara, i share your weakness. i'd like to know who can resist freshly baked anything. and doesn't everyone need a few chocolate chips after every meal? i know i do.

congrats on the 7 pounds, by the way!

I was just talking about this at soccer practice on Wednesday with McCall's mom. We were both saying that chocolate chips are our weakness. I have a small handfull at least 3 times a day.
I can resist the baked goodies, for some reason, though. But fresh bread, no way. I can't make it too often because I just want to eat it all day. And I'm with you on the fruity candy. No thanks.
And I answered you on my blog, but I will here again too... it's Anne-Celeste.

This proves that we are sisters. People think we look alike sometimes...um, no. We don't, people. We've studied our faces in depth. Now if you look closely at our diets, I'm going to say they are 99.9% the same.

Hello, my name is Laurie . . .

Me too sister! Speaking of fresh baked cookies, I think that sounds really good right now!

Right there with you on this one. I swear, food is my greatest downfall. I can no longer buy anything good, or I eat it all day long. Now I am in such a search for it that I will go inside to pay for my gas just to pick a little something up for myself.

Ha! As I read your post, I am eating the ENTIRE bar of "Mother's Day" chocolate we got at church this morning!
