Lazy Halloween '08

Hubs: apparently he went as a neck-flexing version of his regular self.

Noah: Anakin. For the 3rd year in a row (although he insists it was only the 2nd), and he really did want to wear it again. This year he mixed it up by posing cross-eyed.

Molly: Elmo. Noah wore this costume when he was 4 and it was way too big on him. It was perfect on 6-yr-old Molly, and it was her idea! She said all the kids at school laughed at her when she told them she was going as Elmo, but she got a TON of compliments from everyone at our ward Trunk-or-Treat so I'm really glad about that.

Zoe, Lucy: witches (or fairy witches?) borrowed from their cousins who wore them last year. Couldn't find any black tights for Zoe. Well, I probably could have, but they dressed themselves since I was busy packing the car to leave town immediately following the Halloween festivities.

No homemade costumes (as was my original plan this year). No new costumes at all. No make-up. No hair-do's. Not much supervision at the party. Not much thought went into this event since I had visions of beaches dancing through my head. But, despite my lack of attention to Halloween this year, everyone had a great time. This was last Wednesday night... we left the party at 7:45pm, and by 8:25pm the kids had changed into jammies we were on the road to San Diego! More on that later...

Love the Elmo! We still haven't ever done the makeup thing, I'm just not ready.

We recycled our costumes this year too. I'm calling a green Halloween. Your kids are darling. I want some fairy witches.
