The longest such tradition that we have; getting together with all of my dad's side of the family every year on December 23rd; "Christmas Eve Eve." In 1978 the grandkids acted out the Nativity with me as Mary (I was 3), and the other toddler & baby cousins playing Joseph, baby Jesus, and the shepherds. In 2006, my Noah played Joseph and my niece Keeton was the baby. Some years the Nativity is performed by the children, and some years we have a "talent show" of singing, instrument-playing, etc. This year the event was held at my Grandma's church building in Mesa, since we have outgrown her house! We enjoyed a delicious dinner and a great talent show... my girls sang, Noah played his cello, I sang a trio with my sisters, etc. My sister Kate put together a great video on her blog with a few clips of this year's performances, which you can find HERE.
Oh yeah and Santa brought a PUPPY for Christmas! Is that the funnest or what? Pictures soon...
