- The toffee recipe has been posted here; at my lonely and neglected recipe blog! True to form, I rambled a lot of specific instructions and tips which will be boring unless you really plan on making some. The picture included on that post is my own actual toffee, fyi, not some random flickr shot.
- In other news, I had my Christmas piano recital on Monday. Just like last year's Christmas recital, we had it here at the house. Due to some creative furniture rearranging I was able to fit 57 chairs in here, all of which had at least a partial view of the piano! It was quite a full house. I didn't get a picture of myself with all my students, but there are 14 of them and they all did very well. I'm so proud of them and I love teaching them... of course my pride is greater since two of them are my own children!
- I am VERY close to being finished with Christmas shopping; I've been so behind this year. We are "cutting back" a little on presents this year like most other families I know but we do have one big surprise for the kids which I am extremely excited about. I'll post pictures after Christmas!
- My gingerbread house was the one on the right, by the way. The one with the "warm yellow glow" in the windows (exactly what I was going for; thanks Ginny!) which I copied from one I saw on Wilton's website.

Thanks for the very specific instructions :) That is what I like in a recipe, so that I am not in the middle of cooking it and wishing I had someone to call and ask a question :D
It's making my mouth water... I'll have to let you know how mine goes!
That looks tempting enough to try to make it. I love toffee and I would so come by your house to get some.
If I was in Arizona!!
Darn-it.
Thanks for the instructions to the recipe. I think you are pretty amazing! It sounds like it took a lot of time to make all of that toffee!
I would make your toffee but I think I would eat it all myself and that would be terrible. I cna't believe you aren't done with Christmas shopping yet. I always picture you having the shopping done by the 1st of December...but I think there are better sales now than there were a few weeks ago. Goodluck!
