I love the simple, clean white, and I love the white & brown together. When I learn how, I'm going to make a brown & white quilt to fold up at the foot of the bed. Our sheets are brown, and our sleeping pillows are all brown or white (we sleep with lots of extra pillows). Do you have any ideas of where I could get a headboard?
In case you wondered, our previous bedding looked like this. I liked it just fine when I bought it, two years ago when we first got our king-sized bed, but it was very cheap and the bedspread started falling apart in no time. This new stuff was inexpensive, but it looks like it will hold up better than the last stuff did. And, when I get tired of the brown, I can get new sheets and throw pillows and create an entire new look with my white.

I have never been brave enough to do white anything!
Check Craigslist for a headboard. I have found some great things on there. You just have to be patient, it could take weeks/months to find something. Check regularly because the good stuff goes really fast (like in hours). If you like something but it's old and beat up or you don't like the color, you can always refinish or paint it.
I LOVE it! And it looks even prettier in real life!
That's crazy! I decided to redo my room too! I wanted to get rid of all color and go for whites and greys. I think I am going to get a new headboard at a site I found beedroomfurniture.com free shipping!
It looks awesome!!! Huge fan of white. I have a mongo fluffy white down with a quilted white Mattlasse duvet cover. I have added different colors to go with it. I have a black bed, headboard & footboard - got that and my awesome down when I worked for Eddie Bauer Home. Nester just had a thing about upholstered headboards. Check it out. I agree with Danika - try Craigslist. Also, I am not scared of White. White is the best. We have hotel style white sheets that were super expensive but worth every penny- they are dreamy.
I love bedding, and I love your new look. I've seen some headboards and beds that look like those in Pottery Barn at RC Willey. So that's an idea, or IKEA.
Very nice! I'm too nervous to do white too! Yikes, my boys are way too messy and spend too much time jumping on my bed with dirty feet!!!
We definitely have more strict rules about bed-jumping now with the white... I won't even let anyone sit on it, usually :)
Don't be so scare of white people! I have had mine for 4 years. LIndsay had white in her twin bed for 6 years. The only reason she has something different is that she has a full size bed she shares with her sister and they wanted colors. I have zero problem with white. Mine washes beautifully- and when it needs to be cleaned you can see it...can you see all your dirt and grimy filth on patterns and flowers and paisleys? huh????!!!!!????
Meredith you crack me up... your first sentence reads "Don't be so scared of white people!" :)
That looks great Sara. White is really clean looking and inviting for a bedroom. Recently at OP we have used alot of upholstered headboards and they are really fun because you can make up up your own design and have it made out of any fabric you choose. Our upholsterer in Bountiful makes them for us and it is very reasonable. You might want to check out an upholsterer where you are for pricing. I can email you some pattern ideas if you want.
Congratulations on your first 12. You two are awesome!!!
Love from Brazil
