Yesterday we got to church 40 minutes early so I could rehearse the choir a little bit before performing. Aaron was in meetings all morning associated with ward conference, so I had all the kids there by myself at 9:50am. The choir practiced until 10:15, and my four lovely children sat there on the pew, still and quiet, for the entire 25 minutes, with nothing to entertain them except hymnbooks (and listening to the melodious sounds of the choir).
They're awesome. Plus they're super cute.

It has become less easy for me to BLOG as of late. Since Friday night, this is the new computer setup:
If you think that looks like a table on top of a desk, you're right! It's our new "standing computer" plan. It looks like that old end table was meant to be on top of a desk, doesn't it? We have really freed up some space in the den, having the printer now on the desk under that table -- I'm thinking we should implement this ingenious idea all over the house, stacking furniture everywhere to make more space. Ha.
I won't get into the details of Hubs' back condition, but suffice it to say it is easier on his back to stand than to sit. His new computer is the tower on top of the old one; the old one is "mine" and will be moved to another room soon. It's complicated. But for the past couple days I've had to stand while using the computer and that's why I'm late for my Monday morning blog post :)
And yes, Kate, that is the same ShopKo desk we paid about $20 for when we lived in Provo together about 11 or 12 years ago.

The creativity is just ooozing from you, my dear! I like the new look :)
your blog looks so cute. and perhaps the standing computer thing would be good for all of us. if we had to stand to look at blogs, maybe we'd spend less time doing it! :)
Brag about that good Sunday every time it happens, they are so rare in my house. At least standing will burn more caleries right?
I agree with you 100% all of your children are so well behaved and adorable.
I'm completely impressed with your children. Want to trade?
Sorry for AP's back troubles--it sucks he's still having them. But the stacked furniture is an idea. Maybe it'd help me get my bedroom cleaned up.
What? Stacking furniture to make a computer monitor eye level isn't normal? :)
Maybe you will start a few trend. People will walk in and see a set up like yours and say, "Oh...cool! You've done "the Sara." Or at work you'll here, "I'm really thinking about trying out "the Sara" for a few months." I'm sure it is going to catch on quickly. Just you wait...
Oh man. Proof reading is oh-so important. My kids are in the bath so typing is extra fast.
I, of course, meant you will start a NEW trend. And if ever at work, you will HEAR people talking.
I try to be funny and the blow the whole thing with spelling errors. That sucks.
That's okay Jame, you're still funny :) It's actually "the AP" though - he's had his computer like that at work for months! And, the den computer is going to be his and it's looking like mine will be set up in the dining room, in place of the piano lessons computer. Since we don't really need 4 computers in this house, only 3 :)
I really can't believe you still have that desk. That's crazy. And I definitely wouldn't spend much time on the computer if I had to stand.
4 kids at church with no husband is not easy. I wish my kids were as perfect as yours. :) Now I get to figure out how to keep 5 under control! Yikes!
definitely something to brag about - my kids would NEVER sit for that long. How did they do after that?
