The beach picture below is one of my favorites, even though it's from over a year ago, because it's so typical Lucy; she's always so happy and quite often dancing around. Ever since Lucy was a baby she has enjoyed making faces at herself in the mirror, and has since graduated to singing and dancing in front of the mirror. Usually she stops when she realizes someone is watching!

Lucy has turned into quite the little helper around the house; lately she has excelled at unloading the dishwasher. She puts away all the silverware and anything else that goes in drawers or lower cupboards, and she stacks everything else neatly on the counter for me to put away up high.
A few fun facts about Miss Lucy...
- She looks the most like me of any of our kids; at least the most like my baby & kid pictures.
- She's the blondest of the bunch.
- She's the tallest, percentile-by-age-wise, of any of our kids.
- She's the youngest, even though she's quite a bit taller than her twin sister... very confusing for people who don't know we have twins and assume that Lucy's at least a year older than Zoe!
- She is seriously so much fun. I can totally envision her being the friend who always comes up with the fun ideas of things to do when she's a teenager.
- She always makes me smile with the way she pronounces things... she speaks just fine for a four-year-old but is the last of the kids to have some quirky versions of words; the last remnants of any "toddler talk" around our house. She very often puts the emphasis on the wrong syllable or word: wheat BREAD, foreHEAD, musTACHE, malt-o-MEAL, etc. It's very endearing and quickly fading away... I'm not looking forward to the time that all the kids speak correctly all the time around here; how boring that will be!
- She is a tender-hearted girl. She knows when she has made a mistake and feels SO badly about it, and immediately apologizes.
- As a baby she wasn't much of a cuddler, but the past year or two she has gotten more cuddly and gives great hugs! In fact, all the time she comes up to Aaron or I (if we're sitting on the floor) and starts giving us a shoulder rub; what a sweet girl.
I sure love you Lucy Mae!

Oh man! I just LOVE Lucy! I think she is SO funny. She is always cracking me up with how she pronounces things and what she says. I wish I could think of an example. And she IS always happy! My girls cry and have fits all the time and I have seen fits occasionally with Molly and Zoe...but so rarely does Lucy break down like the rest of the girls. We have also found out recently with Presley's little lying and exaggerating issue that Lucy is quite gullible -- something else she has in common with her mother! :)
My goodness, thanks for the reminder about the way she says things! I just added that in.
She is such a cutie. Love that she dance until someone sees her. :)
I love toddler talk--Nate is a riot.
Aw, her cousin Gabe will LOVE this post! We think he's got a little cousin crush on that girl.
I don't know your kids too well. I mean, I remember when all their birthdays are, but I don't know too much about their personalities. It's nice to read a post like this so I feel like I know her a little better. :) Thanks.
Excellent post! I know Lucy is certainly a favorite with Gabe! Everytime we go to G-Pa's house, he always want to look at pics of Lucy. Then he says, "I like Lucy the best!" She is GREAT!
