Day One

Last night: packpacks packed up, sandwiches made, fresh cookies baked, snack basket filled, water bottles labeled, mountain of paperwork filled out.

Ready to go!
Noah's in 5th grade, Molly's in 3rd, Zoe & Lucy are in 1st.
By the time I took the picture below, Zoe & Lucy were begging to go play on the playground... they had also told me before we got to school that they knew where their classroom was and that I didn't need to get out of the car. Little Misses Independent!
I sure hope they're all having a great first day.

As for me... I had my favorite breakfast, I'll be having lunch with some friends... but it's really much too quiet around the house. In many ways I'm glad for school to start, but I really do like my kids and will miss having them around. But hooray for a really good school to send them to where I know they're being well taken care of.

Enjoy your day of peace and quiet. If you are dying for someone to make noise & entertain you, let me know and I'll drop Natalie by for a few hours! :)

They all look so big! And so blue! I love how they all chose the same color. It's weird to thing of being all alone for most of the day, that seems like a long way off for me, but I hope you enjoy it!

They all look so happy and excited for school! Very cute. And wow, that's quite the lineup of bags and lunches...I have my hands full just getting two out the door! :) (yes, one of them is older than I am, but still the lunch is packed and he's sent on his way, haha) ;)
