The night before the first day of school, when I snuck into the kids' bedrooms to take their pictures of them sweetly sleeping, I saw this posted on Zoe & Lucy's door (with a menacing Mario mushroom for maximum threat level, I'm sure). Over the summer the kids took to making up passwords and rules regarding their bedrooms; I thought this was pretty funny/cute.
As it may be hard to decipher even when enlarged, I'll translate:
1. Toys go out the room unless I want them to be in my room.
2. There is 1 password.
3. And I won't tell the people that mess up my room but I will tell the people that dooooo not mess up my room.
I'm pretty sure this was a joint project between Zoe & Lucy. I've noticed lately that since Zoe is better at writing/spelling and apparently they've decided that Lucy is good at making up stories, they have been co-writing books for fun after school. Their latest book goes a little something like this (I listened to Lucy carefully dictate the whole thing to Zoe):
Title: Happy Happy Birthday Book
Page 1: This is a happy loving loving birthday book
Page 2: In the sun for a happy loving birthday book
Page 3: The birthday
Page 4: Loving birthday
Page 5: Birthday

Back cover: Happy Birthday Book. I can read.
Have I mentioned lately how much I love having twins?

Caroline can write her name. We are super thrilled! Oh - and she can get all the phonograms for this year so I am again thrilled. But really, writing stories and making up written rules? I'm thinking we are a ways away from that...that's our Caroline! Bright kiddos you guys make!
You have the cutest kids!!!
The birthday book is the darn cutest thing ever! Haha. I cannot think of anything more fun that having twin girls. Challenging too, I'm sure...but SO fun!
