We already loved our neighborhood, but when in the spring a new family moved into the house behind ours, it got even better! They have three kids; we have four. They have two yellow labs; we have one chocolate lab. They have a trampoline; we have a pool. It was meant to be! During the summer the kids were climbing over the wall all the time to jump together or swim together. Sometimes they just hang out, standing on makeshift ladders and stools, and talk. It's cute.(please pardon the poor picture quality; it was dusk and I was too far away but too busy with cooking dinner to get a better shot)
P.S. It's October already? What?!?

That would have been my dream arrangement as a kid. I never had a kid next door (or behind us) to be besties with... oh well.
Part of our wood fence fell down last year, and we discovered our neighbor's dog, which is now practically our dog (except we don't have to feed her or pick up much of her poop or take her on walks). How much more fun it would be if there were kids, too!
That is really cute! Those are the kind of things they'll really remember when they are bigger.
